Figure Eight Circuit
This course is for snakers. If you can snake, snake 'til your hearts content.
You can shave a couple of milliseconds off if you can powerslide and drift on the inside of the bends and cut through the grass on the inner side of the course.
Yoshi Falls
Near the start of the race there is a waterfall. If you're quick you can cut some time by powersliding over it. Just be careful not to fall.
Do not go across the second waterfall as the current is too strong and will slow you down heaps.
On the third waterfall powerslide across it again. If you have a mushroom use them to cut across even quicker.
Cheep-Cheep Beach
Be aware of the water's tide. If you have a mushroom halfway through the course use it to cut through the water. You'll save a lot of time.
Don't use the last ramps; these tend to slow you down. If you do use them hop at the end just before you go off it to jump forward as far as possible.
Luigi's Mansion
If you have a mushroom as soon as you leave the mansion cut diagonally left to get onto the other side of the path.
Use mushrooms to boost across the dirty muddy areas of outside.
Be aware of the trees; find gaps between the trees and look at their movement patterns.If you're a hefty character bash your opponents into the trees.
If possible on the last tree before the finish line, try to cut on the inside.
